Sarah Watts will perform a transcription of Eric Dolphy’s own improvisation on Billie Holiday’s God Bless The Child and Mike Vaughan’s In Memoriam for bass clarinet and electronics. Dolphy was known to play transcriptions of music by J S Bach, so the programme will also feature Bach transcriptions, and two new works that fuse Dolphy and Bach together for bass clarinet and electronics by Miroslav Spasov and Sohrab Uduman.
